Best Tortilla Recipe

I am finally posting this tortilla recipe so I don't keep losing it. It is the best one we have tried. Try it!

3 Cups of flour
1/2 Tablespoon Salt
1/4 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1/4 Cup oil
1 Cup of water
- Mix together then kneed until dough is smooth. Roll out with a rolling pin and cook in a little bit of oil or on a non-stick pan.

Good luck!

Abby

I know I don't post many pictures or anything for that matter. Here is a pic Jeremy took the other day. I can't believe how big she is.

Thanksgiving 2012

Yes, we are still alive! We spent Thanksgiving up in New Hampshire. On the way home we stopped off at a Christmas Tree Farm. It was so fun. Enjoy the pics. Jeremy took them with his phone so they are a little shaky.

I just realized we didn't take any pictures of Abby and since it was Jeremy's phone in action he didn't get in any of the shots either. We will try and post more later.

We have been so busy the last few months I haven't been able to get around to posting. We are still busy so just enjoy the pictures (Thanks so much Katrina for the beautiful pic's. They turned out great). I will try and post more about our lives later.

Trunk or Treat

Jeremy and Talmage dressed liked missionary companions for our Ward's Trunk or Treat.
I wasn't sure if Talmage would understand the whole missionary thing, but he caught on right away.

Abigail Elizabeth Thurber

Abby was born October 18, 2011. She weighed 7 lb 13oz and was 20.5 inches.
I was induced early in the morning just after 6:00am. I was already dilated to a 2-3 when we started. It took 2 1/2 hours to move to 5-6. After being in at the stage for 10-15 min I started feeling pressure and felt like maybe I should start pushing soon. The nurse checked me again and I had moved to an 8. She called my midwife (who got here amazingly fast). My midwife checked me and I was a 10. YAY! Well kind of...it was all very painful. Anyway, they all got suited up and I started pushing. 3-4 pushes and she was out. Born 10:06am. Just around 4 hours after being induced. It was quite the experience. I didn't get an epidural. Doing it naturally was a very different experience. I would never suggest that someone do it that way, but if you chose to know that you can do it!

Here are some pictures!

Before and After

One of my new hobbies is restoring junk. I found this in the dumpster a couple of weeks ago. The strip around the edges was coming off, it had tracks running along the inside of the table, and the color wouldn't match anything else in my house.

Because I am pregnant (SURPRISE IN CASE YOU DIDN'T KNOW!! We are 5 1/2 months along) Jeremy stripped the finish off for me.

I sanded while Talmage kept it dusted.

Then he helped me sand. He LOVED it :)

What it looked like after we sanded it

I decided to stain the top cherry wood and paint the bottom a gloss black. I didn't realize I needed to put a primer on before the paint so I ended up having to re-sand it after I painted it the first time, but I think it turned out nice :)
