We have been so busy the last few months I haven't been able to get around to posting. We are still busy so just enjoy the pictures (Thanks so much Katrina for the beautiful pic's. They turned out great). I will try and post more about our lives later.

Trunk or Treat

Jeremy and Talmage dressed liked missionary companions for our Ward's Trunk or Treat.
I wasn't sure if Talmage would understand the whole missionary thing, but he caught on right away.

Abigail Elizabeth Thurber

Abby was born October 18, 2011. She weighed 7 lb 13oz and was 20.5 inches.
I was induced early in the morning just after 6:00am. I was already dilated to a 2-3 when we started. It took 2 1/2 hours to move to 5-6. After being in at the stage for 10-15 min I started feeling pressure and felt like maybe I should start pushing soon. The nurse checked me again and I had moved to an 8. She called my midwife (who got here amazingly fast). My midwife checked me and I was a 10. YAY! Well kind of...it was all very painful. Anyway, they all got suited up and I started pushing. 3-4 pushes and she was out. Born 10:06am. Just around 4 hours after being induced. It was quite the experience. I didn't get an epidural. Doing it naturally was a very different experience. I would never suggest that someone do it that way, but if you chose to know that you can do it!

Here are some pictures!

Before and After

One of my new hobbies is restoring junk. I found this in the dumpster a couple of weeks ago. The strip around the edges was coming off, it had tracks running along the inside of the table, and the color wouldn't match anything else in my house.

Because I am pregnant (SURPRISE IN CASE YOU DIDN'T KNOW!! We are 5 1/2 months along) Jeremy stripped the finish off for me.

I sanded while Talmage kept it dusted.

Then he helped me sand. He LOVED it :)

What it looked like after we sanded it

I decided to stain the top cherry wood and paint the bottom a gloss black. I didn't realize I needed to put a primer on before the paint so I ended up having to re-sand it after I painted it the first time, but I think it turned out nice :)

I had a dream...

....last night about this blog. Jeremy had made 3 posts to catch us up on our summer comings and goings. I felt such a relief that I wouldn't have to worry about it. This morning I awoke to realize this wasn't true. Sadness :( lol

long time coming....the Virgin Islands

We went to the Virgin Islands for 10 days. Jeremy was sent there to work. Thanks E&Y!!! All we had to pay for was my plane ticket and food. It was so much fun. Jeremy worked a lot, but Talmage and I had a fun time playing and shopping. The island was so beautiful. The above shot is a picture I took while I was running one morning. The sun would be up by 5:30am so we did a lot of early morning runs. It would get dark by 7pm.

We are so glad when daddy comes home!!

The beaches there are so beautiful. While we swam we could see fish. We tried getting a picture of the them, but they were too fast. Jeremy and Talmage buried me in the sand!! It actually felt really nice.
Talmage loves, loves, loves playing in the sand. The sand is so soft there it turns to mud when it is mixed with water. It doesn't brush off like rocky sand does. We were literally caked in sand after the beach.

We just so happen to be hanging out in St. Thomas this week and next. I'm down here auditing the government of the Virgin Islands. It is amazingly beautiful. We're staying at an amazing place with a perfect view of the ocean. We'll post pictures later.
