In my attempt to cut back spending in this economy crisis I have decided to dye my own hair. I haven't done this since I was 13 and my hair didn't turn out the best so I am a little nervous. But I am hoping that 10 years will have given me enough know-how to be able to be successful now.
Would any of you have any suggestions or thoughts about this? I am most worried about not getting the color right or about the highlights not being even enough. Helpful hints would be very appreciated.
Thanks!

I've got nothing for you, but the color looks really good! I haven't seen you with dark hair before!!
I'd love to come help! Successful color happens when you have someone helping you...I had Tyler help me and it was good, but he didn't know what he was doing:) I do!!
It's really old school but the cap always works really well. You can choose whether you have thin or chunky highlights.
Good luck Sis!
Okay-- my only recommendation is to be careful! I went from blonde to brown, and I had to continue re-dying it bc the color would fade to a green. Yikes! *The reason why is bc when you go from blonde (w/the color stripped of your hair) to brown, you have to add back in ALL of the colors that you eliminated. And I guess you don't get that in a box color. Didn't know that at the time...
I ended up going to Paul Mitchell (school in Provo) and they totally fixed it so I didn't ever have to dye it again. Don't worry-- my hair was about 4 different colors that day... orange, red, etc. It was crazy. They did a great job so I didn't have to re-dye it ever again, though, bc the main instructor was there the whole time. I was a great "show and tell." Haha! But now (about 2 1/2 years later!!) after several hair cuts, I have a complete head of hair that is ALL MY NATURAL COLOR!! It took forever bc my hair grows so slow, but it worked and the color looked great the whole time!
Anyway, if you have problems I'd go to the school. Or you could just have them do it in the first place. ?? They're pretty cheap, considering you'd (hopefully) only have to get it dyed once. :) Hope that helps!! I'll be excited to see your pic when it's all done! Yea!
Maggie I cant stand that I havent seen ONE prognent picture of you! NOT ONE!! I think you have some explanin to do!
