Wow what a cutie!!!! He is SO darling and looks a lot like you guys. Thanks for finally posting pictures! And as for the question in your post title . . . YES!!! I think that you should try to settle the baby down, but if it doesn't work after a couple minutes, take him OUT! Some people just let their kids scream and cry for a long time--I'm guessing the parents can't really pay attention, no one ELSE can pay attention--so just take them out. I also think though, that when the kids are old enough to understand, once you take them out, don't let them play because they will learn that if they scream, they get to leave the meeting and play. Anyway, sorry to leave a sermon! That's just something I've always had a really strong opinoin on! (don't want to offend anyone, either!)
Yes, please. I can think of times in Relief Society when I couldn't hear the teacher, let alone feel the Spirit, because of a baby. This baby wasn't even crying, though. It was just making regular baby sounds. I think it's considerate to take out a baby that is making too much noise of any kind.
I can't believe how big he has gotten!! I can see you both in his little features, too. He is so handsome :) So we talked about teaching our children reverence today in church . . . and there was a quote given from a GA and he said that the father should take them out?? I thought that was interesting food for thought.
I would like to read that quote from the GA. Jeremy is usually pretty good about taking Talmage out. It is not like Talmage cries a lot he just makes really loud talking noises. Today we were sandwiched between to families on the 2nd to front row so I was afraid taking him out would cause a scene, but he was jabbering away so loudly. after church i was talking to a friend and i mentioned Talmage being loud and she said, "oh, that was your baby." i was surprised she also heard him b/c she was on the back row. I was kind of embarrassed. I guess we should probably sit in a more convenient escape seat next time.
